Merry Christmas, everyone!
Hope you all had/are having a wonderful Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Whatever. What was your favorite present this year? I got a really nice new tripod that I can't wait to get out and use. It has a quick release mounting platform so I don't have to keep screwing and unscrewing my camera onto the tripod. It's also very light so this will make my hiking trips a lot easier.
It's been quite a while since I was here last, and I hadn't been too active before that. I have an incredibly message center right now, which I am a little embaressed about, but I plan on working my way through it all. Christmas is a hectic s
I got a new credit card in the mail yesterday. When I activated it they told me I had 0.0% APR until May 2005.
So guess what? Camera is now on the way. I just bought a Canon Eos Rebel G2 with a Canon 28-105mm lens and a Polarizing Filter from Adorama.com for $266 including shipping.
I should have it within 3 business days and I can't wait to start reading the manual and then get a day off to go take some pics. It's nothing special, but it's my first real camera and I'm excited.
Update
Camera is here and I'm loving it!
My car broke down. I was stuck on the highway for 2 hours the other day and it overheated. Come to find out I had a transmission leak and I need a new head gasket (basically lets just rebuild the whole engine).
So, yeah. No more new camera, which means no new pictures for a while. Hopefully I'll get some money together before all the leaves fall off. This is my favorite time of the year and I'd like to be able to capture it.
Merry Christmas, my son. As your wandering mother, I felt it my duty to check in on you, make sure everything is going decently well (or better), and that you're having fun.
I hope you're having a great holiday! Germany is certainly an interesting country... but I want to be able to talk to people in ENGLISH sometime soon Have a great new year!
